A DEXA scan can provide information about body composition and bone density. # What to expect
1. It is recommended to fast overnight, and to avoid any intense exercise prior to the test
2. The test will be conducted at our partner facility located in **Royal Square Medical Centre**
3. A DEXA test is similar to a standard X-ray, and usually takes no more than 25 mins
4. Results are then reviewed and interpreted by a doctor
5. Within 2-3 weeks, you’ll receive your test results in your health dashboard

- As this test measures body composition as well, it may be less accurate for the evaluation of bone density specifically. If you only want to measure bone density, a dedicated bone density DEXA scan (only of the hip and spine) would be more appropriate.
